World Chess Hall of Fame Call for WW2 Artifacts
Hello chess blog friends, in the summer of 2015, the World Chess Hall of Fame (WCHOF) will present an exhibition exploring the history of chess during World War II. We are seeking material related to the effect of war on the world of chess during the period, as well as how chess served as entertainment or therapy for soldiers. Do you have artifacts, photographs, or ephemera related to this subject that may be loaned to the WCHOF for this show or stories that may be shared? If so, please send photographs and descriptions of the objects or a summary of the to Emily Allred, Assistant Curator, at emily.allred@worldchesshof.org or call 314.367.9243 ext. 108 to determine if the material can be used in the exhibition.
