GM Ernesto Inarkiev wins Baku Chess Open 2014
Hello chess blog friends, FIDE chess news update states Ernesto Inarkiev has won the Baku Chess Open 2014. The traditional chess tournament was held from September 22-30 at the AF Hotel. A total of 70 participants from 20 countries, including 28 Grandmasters, competed in Open A. Grandmasters Ernesto Inarkiev and Constantin Lupulescu finished on 7 points each, but the Russian took the winner's trophy on better tie-break.

Ferenc Berkes HUN and Vladimir Onischuk UKR shared the third place with 6,5 points. The Open B had 163 players rated under 2250 FIDE. FM Aryan Gholami or Iran is sole winner with 8,0/9 points.
