GM Sebastien Maze wins 20th International Chess Festival
Hello chess blog friends, GM Sebastien Maze has won the 20th International Chess Festival named after Jean-Claude Loubatière was held on 5-13th July at the Salle Jules Pagezy in Montpellier, France, according to a FIDE chess tournament news update.
The event was organized by the Echecs Club Montpellier and the playing format was 9-round Swiss with the time control 1h30/40 - 30' + [30'']. GM Maze Sebastien FRA 2553 took a clear first place with 7.5 points to claim the top prize of 1000 EUR.
GM Bauer Christian FRA 2649 is second with 7 points.GM Arizmendi Martinez Julen Luis ESP 2553, FM Petrossian Armen FRA 2380, FM Oganisian Roman RUS 2245, IM Collas Silvia FRA 2302 and GM Ni Hua CHN 2674 shared the third place with 6.5 points each.
