15th Poikovsky Chess Cup begins May 11: Top Seed Pavel Eljanov Defends Title
Hello chess friends, the 15th Poikovsky Chess Tournament, named after the former world chess champion Anatoly Karpov, is going to take place on 11-20 May. The tournament format is 10-players round robin tournament.
Top seeded is last year’s winner Pavel Eljanov. His opponents are Ian Nepomniachtchi, Dmitry Jakovenko, Etienne Bacrot, Alexander Morozevich, Alexei Shirov, Alexander Motylev, Ivan Saric, Viorel Bologan, and Emil Sutovsky. *Report via FIDE
