Hello everyone,
The Uruguayan Chess Championship 2014 started on April 2 in Montevideo Uruguay and will run until April 11.
The tournament pays tribute to IA Mr. Horacio Arevalo who passed away a few days ago. He was an enthusiastic promoter of chess and, as president of the Uruguay Chess Association, international arbiter and teacher, promoted the game of chess with his whole heart.
The chess tournament is being held in the House of Sports Artigas, where most of the National Sports Federations of Uruguay are based and will have coverage online through www.fuajedrez.org. (FIDE)
