ICCF is the International Correspondence Chess Federation. ICCF was founded in 1951 as a new appearance of the ICCA (International Correspondence Chess Association), which was founded in 1945, as successor of the IFSB (Internationaler Fernschachbund), founded in 1928.
2014 WCCC Preliminaries Sections
Monday, March 03, 2014: The 2014 WCCC Preliminaries Sections (WCCC 38 PR) have been started on ICCF web-server.
Official start-date: March 20, 2013
Category III (average rating of each Section: from 2314 to 2317)
15 Sections with 13 players each (i.e. 195 players)

TD: Sections 1-10: IA Neil Limbert (ENG); Sections 11-15: IA Adrián de Blois Figueredo (ESP)
Players from 44 different NFs - 2 or 3 players from Germany, 1 or 2 players from RUS, no more than 1 player from any other NF in each Section
2 GM; 29 SIM; 48 IM
The winner and the runners-up of each Section (i.e. 30 players) qualify to a WCCC Semifinal
