Hello everyone,
Third seed Lela Javakhishvili has won the 71st Georgia Women's Chess Championship held at the Palace of Chess, from February 18-March 1, in Tbilisi. She has won the title before in 2007 and 2001 as well.
The second and third places were decided only in the last round though Lela won the title with a round to spare a full 1.5 points ahead of the rest of the field. (Official website)

Javakhishvili scored 9.5 points from 11 rounds without a loss and won the title ahead of Khurtsidze Nino (2456) and Khotenashvili Bela (2527) who took second and third places respectively.
