There's an international chess open happening in India this March - the Alekhine Chess Club, Kolkata, is hosting the 19th edition of the Kolkata International Open Grandmasters Chess Tournament, with a $22,500 prize fund, from March 18-27. Entry to the event is open to chess players with a rating 2200 and above.
There's an international chess open happening in India this March - the Alekhine Chess Club, Kolkata, is hosting the 19th edition of the Kolkata International Open Grandmasters Chess Tournament, with a $22,500 prize fund, from March 18-27. Entry to the event is open to chess players with a rating 2200 and above.
The tournament will be of 10 rounds, played under a time control of 90 minutes for the first 40 moves and remaining game in 30 minutes, with an increment of 30 seconds from move 1.
