Hello everyone,
Jennifer Shahade is a former US women's chess champion, author, poker player and commentator. Her books aim to bring more women and girls into chess. She is the editor of the US Chess Federation website, a board member of the World Chess Hall of Fame and the co-founder of 9Queens.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
