Hello everyone,
One of Moscow's strongest chess events - the Moscow Rapid Chess Superfinal - concluded recently with Alexander Grischuk and Daria Charochkina picking up the titles in the men's and women's sections.
The Russian State Social University played host to the event which was a curtainraiser for the gala 10th International RSSU Cup Moscow Chess Open 2014. There were 10 participants in each of the sections of the rapid event.
Grischuk beat Najer on tiebreak to win the title. The result was equally close in the women's section with Gunina taking second place.
Final Standings (Men)
1. Alexander Grischuk - 6.5 points out of 9,
