Italian designer Giorgio Bonaguro interprets the designs of traditional chess pieces to create a series of stools! He has created a nice collection for icons furniture. in the Bonaguro series, for example, the ‘bishop’ is represented in the shape of the ‘alfiere’, which is made from solid wood and features a geometric form, interrupted by a large diagonal cut that serves as a magazine rack.

Hello everyone,
Evoking a more aristocratic and imposing shape, the moving ‘queen’ becomes the ‘regina’ and the ‘pawn’ in contrast is now the ‘pedone’, defined by a rounded simple stool. wanting to emphasize the typical characteristics of the chess pieces, the heads have been especially crafted to emulate their original form. the collection is produced by icons and is constructed from solid scented cedarwood with semi-artisanal techniques and processes, enhancing their quality and finishes.
