The world’s chess elite will move to Rhodes, Greece, for the second part of the month of October. Appropriately nicknamed ‘The island of the Knights’ and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe, the island will host the European Chess Club Cup from 19-27th October. Euro 2013 is the top club competition for the year, a truly international event with players from all continents. With 95 Grandmasters, 75 International Masters and 43 FIDE Masters in the Open section and 12 Grandmasters, 10 International Masters and 10 Women Grandmasters, the event will have a total of 250(!) titled players.
