Havana, Sep 23 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Grandmaster Yaniet Marrero has won the only place in the Women's World Chess Championship by winning the Zone 2.3 Chess Tournament of America for women. She was the Cuba women's chess champion in 2011. She won the tournament with 7, 5 points which included six wins and three draws. She picked up 23 rating points.
The Zone 2.3 women's chess tournament was played in San Salvador based on the Swiss System with 16 competitors from six countries.
