Romania Chess League: AEM Luxten Timisoara wins Title

Hi everyone,
AEM Luxten Timisoara, with Volokitin Andrei on Board 1, has won the Romania Team Chess Championship 'Superliga' at the tournament held from August 31 to September 8 in Mamaia - a beautiful seaside location. The winners lost just one round and tallied 16 match points including 37,5 game points to win the gold medal.
The silver medal went to CSM Baia Mare with 15 match points and 36,5 game points, while the bronze medal went to ACS Apa Nova Bucuresti with 13 match points and 30,5 game points.
In the women's section, Politehnica-Antibiotice Iasi won the gold medal with a great performance (+8, =1, -0 – 17 match points and 28,5 game points). WGM Irina Bulmaga and WGM Alina L’Ami from the winning team finished the competition with great results (8 game points each/9 rounds).
