Second place in open, silver medal winner will receive 2100 elo rating and 2050 elo rating bronze medal winner.

The World Amateur Chess Championship 2013 has registered record participation. The Romanian Government, the Ministry of Youth and Sport, City Hall of Iasi, Romanian Chess Federation, Iasi County Council and Iasi County Chess Association are organising the 10-day event in Iasi, Romania with 232 players from 38 countries competing for total prizes of 10,000 euros.
