Hi everyone,
The 13th Bangkok Chess Club Open will be held from 14th to 21st of April at the 5-star Dusit Thani Pattaya Resort. More than 300 players from 40 countries, including nineteen Grandmasters, are expected to take part in the tournament this year, making it the biggest and strongest ever held in Thailand.
The competition will be divided into 2 categories, Open category for all players, and Challenger category for players rated below 2100 or unrated. Both groups will be played using the Swiss System, with 9 rounds for the Open, and 7 rounds for the Challenger series. A first prize of 100,000 Baht will be awarded to the Open winner, with the Challenger champion receiving 15,000 Baht.
