Hi everyone,
We found these cool photos from the the chess club at Cherry Brook Primary School in Canton. Canton Police Chief Christopher Arciero, and a few of his officers came to this week's club and played a few of the students. Arciero said he enjoyed it and he and his officers will try and stop by more often to play with the chess club because it is a good way to meet the children and establish a presence in the school. Nice to have the police and children interacting with chess. That's a cool chess-social initiative! Here are photos from the event via the courant.com.
Chief Arciero prepares to make his move against first grader Jackson Senecal, 6, as two other first graders, Bethany Douglas, 6, left, and Ian Clark, 6, right, wait for the chief to come back for his next move. Arciero was playing three games at once. (All photos: Richard Messina / Hartford Courant / March 6, 2013 )
