2nd International Chess Festival Grand Hotel Adriatico: Csaba Horvat Wins on Tiebreak

Hungarian GM Csaba Horvat has won the 2nd International Chess Festival Grand Hotel Adriatico that took place on 1st-3rd March at the Hotel Adriatico located on Via Carlo Maresca 10 – 65016 Montesilvano, Italy, according to a Chessdom report.

Horvat was the clear rating favorite and managed to win the tournament despite a loss in the last round. Italian FM Ettore Stromboli got the same amount of points and only lost the first prize in the third tie-break score. The third place went to Peruvian Marco Quimi.

The B group, reserved for players with a rating below 1850, was won by Dario Marvulli. The tournament was organised by the L’Arrocco Chess Club.
