Teaching Chess to Children with Special Needs

Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2012

Hi everyone,

We found this short YouTube chess video about a retired teacher and Burlington Township resident Bill Carrington who has returned to the Burlington County Special Services School District as a volunteer chess instructor. He teaches students with special needs the strategies of chess. The video is very short, but of course the contribution great. If you too are doing something special with chess in your community - anywhere in the world - do share your chess love with Chess Blog readers.

  1. Well nice video but too less detail it would have been nice if they have had shown in detail the class chess is a great thing for students and am sure it would be really great for children with special needs all the same hats off for the endeavour
