Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2012
Hi everyone,
The top-seeded GM Sergei Zhigalko took a clear first place and claimed the title with 8 points from 11 games. Sergei repeated the success from last year when he won the Championship with the same score, according to a Fide report. The 19-year-old Vladislav Kovalev finished second with 7,5 points, while Andrey Zhigalko is third with 7 points. Grandmasters Fedorov and Stupak were forced to withdraw in the middle of the Championship due to health reasons. You can access the official website for more details in the local language.
