Hi everyone,

US Champion Hikaru Nakamura - Game of the day versus Viswanathan Anand

The exciting chess tournament of December - the London Chess Classic 2012 - is coming to an end. Fantastic chess was on display at the Olympia theatre on Sunday in Round 8 - the penultimate round. It was a fantastic round with US Chess Champion Hikaru Nakamura missing a win against World Chess Champion Viswanathan Anand in a nervous endgame. Former World Chess Champion Vladimir Kramnik displayed his usual steady chess to win his games against Gawain Jones and stay in the hunt for the title. The win also takes the Russian Grandmaster to the second spot in the chess ratings. GM Judit Polgar picked up her first win in the tournament with a victory of Luke McShane.
