Giant Chess Board Unveiled in Gloucestershire
Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2012
Hi everyone,
Someone, somewhere is falling in love with chess. How could we not share this chess news about a giant chess set being unveiled in Gloucestershire. The Nailsworth Men's Shed chess board was unveiled at Nailsworth Subscription Rooms, formerly the Boys Club, this week.
The first moves were also made in the inaugural game of chess while those who made it and civic dignitaries enjoyed mince pies and hot juice. The set is the first project of The Shed, set up by Nailsworth Community Workshop in the Subscription Rooms.
