GM Andres Rodriguez wins the Magistral La Razón Chess

Hi everyone,

The Magistral La Razón 2012 was held between 23rd and 31st October in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The tournament was played under the double round robin format between six players with an average rating of 2469 points, according to the latest chess tournament news update via Chessdom.com.

Uruguayan GM Andres Rodriguez took the first place with 6.5/10 points, leaving the second-placed GM Krikor Mekhitarian half a point behind.

American William Stewart won the ITT tournament that took place concurrently with the main event after edging IM Carolina Luján in the playoffs. Bethany Lozano won the Women’s IRT with 3,5 points.
