Hi everyone,
Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruna continue to lead jointly after eight rounds at the Bilbao Chess Masters Finals. The games Viswanathan Anand-Fabiano Caruana, Vallejo Pons-Levon Aronian and Sergey Karjakin-Magnus Carlsen were drawn on Wednesday.
Standings after Round 8
Fabiano Caruana: 13 points.
Magnus Carlsen: 13 points.
Levon Aronian: 10 points.
Viswanathan Anand: 8 points.
Sergey Karjakin: 6 points
Francisco Vallejo: 5 points.
The winner would have to now fight down to the last round. Both Carlsen and Caruana have chances, but statistics could fetch the title for Aronian as well. Anand has, so far, created a record of sorts, by drawing all his eight games so far.

Caruana did well to hold back Anand and Carlsen drew with Karjakin fairly quickly. There were some fireworks in the Vallejo-Aronian game, but it went for a draw even as time scramble ensued.
