Here is the latest chess news via Fide. The V International Tournament "Ciudad de Sabadell" 2012 was held between 30th August and 7th September at the Parc Central Valley in Sabadell, Spain.

Here is the latest chess news via Fide. The V International Tournament "Ciudad de Sabadell" 2012 was held between 30th August and 7th September at the Parc Central Valley in Sabadell, Spain.
The competition was performed over 9 round of Swiss system with a time control of 90 minutes for the entire game and 30 seconds increment per move from move one. The event took place in three different groups.
GM Levan Aroshidze finished clear first in Group A with 7.5 points from 9 rounds. Four players got 7 points, but according to the tie the silver and bronze medals were given to Peruvian GM Emilio Cordova and Spanish GM Josep Oms. You can access the official website for more information.
