This unique chess tournament will be played over eight rounds of Swiss system. AWARDS 1 ° Internazional Open Chess Champioship - Cup, 2 ° Internazional Open Chess Champioship - Cup, 3 ° Internazional Open Chess Champioship - Cup
4 ° - 5 ° Internazional Open Chess Champioship - Cup, 1 ° Italian Open Chess Champioship - Cup, 2 ° Italian Open Chess Champioship - Cup, 3 ° Italian Open Chess Champioship - Cup.
There will be an international general classification and an Italian classification for the two titles at the chess tournament. Medals / memorabilia for all participants will also be given.
This chess tournament has already been approved by the CEI – Italian Episcopal Conference and, if required, players could obtain official letters from the Mons. Claudio Paganini, National Ecclesiastical Advisor of CSI - Italian Sports Centre to encourage participation for bishops.
FOR REGISTRATIONPre-registration is obligatory. Pre-registration must be made by e-mail by filling out the form (available at www.giocandoconire.it or www.csi-net.it ) by return mail address giuseppe.sgro@giocandoconire.it by 04/10/2012.

We are happy to share this exciting chess news about the Clericus Chess 2012 International Chess Championship that will be held in Rome, Italy from October 5-7.
It's an international open chess championship specifically for priests, nuns, religious brothers and sisters.
Any members of any of the recognized seminarians regardless of citizenship can take part in the chess tournament. Participants will be registered as long as space is available. The chess tournament is open to religious members regardless of their elo rating or category of membership.
