Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2012
Hi everyone,
Hi everyone,
The Tribune de Geneve has lost one of their most valuable sports journalists and the Biel Chess Festival Committee has lost one of their finest members - Olivier Breisacher in a drowning accident.
The obit reads: Victim of a tragic accident while on vacation, our colleague and friend will be missed forever, this is to say the least. He joined the sports desk of the Tribune de Geneve there are more than twelve years ago, bringing with him cheerful professionalism at all times, a sharp journalistic sense and human qualities so respectable. Olivier was a great professional in all its areas of activity particularly as a sports journalist. Fide obit at this link.
