Istanbul Beşiktaş Jimnastik Club won the 12th round to lead with a point over the field at the Turkish Isbank Chess League. Beşiktaş scored 6.5:3,5 against Antalya Çallı Sport Club, according to a press release. The top board of the team GM Shakhriyar Mamedyarov won against GM Baris Esen. Another Besiktas player, Maria Muzychuk, who had one of the best results in the tournament with 9 out of 10, suffered her first defeat of the tournament at the hands of Betul Yildiz.
İstanbul Teknik University Sport Club defeated Ankara Gazi University Sport Club with 6.5:3.5 and continue to be second placed, trailing Besiktas by one point. İstanbul Pera Sport Club and Ankara Gazi Üniversitesi Sport Club share the third place with 16 points. In the final 13th round Besiktas will play against Antalya Deniz Gençlik Sport Club, while İstanbul Teknik University Sport Club will face Mersin Ezgi Chess Club.
