Martin Lorenzini
Martin Lorenzini has become the Argentina Chess Champion 2012 after winning the 86th Argentinian Chess Championship on tiebreak. He tied for the top spot with four other players. The national took place from 4th to 12th July at the Chamber of Senators of the Province of Buenos Aires. A total of 74 players, including seven Grandmasters and 10 International Masters, competed in the 11-round Swiss event.
After a thrilling last round, five players tied for first. Lorenzini won on tiebreak. Lorenzini and GM Sandro Mareco qualify for the Argentinian national team in the upcoming Chess Olympiad in Istanbul. You can access more photos at the official website
