Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2012
Hi everyone,
Anand said, "This year I brought a change to my game. Instead of opening with one white weapon, which I usually do, I started off with two white weapons."
"I knew that my decision to open with one white weapon was no longer a surprise," he added.
Praising Boris Gelfand, Anand said that, "He is a very experienced player. He was very complicated and had some completely new stuffs."
He said Borris Gelfand is someone who had good understanding of the game. "He is someone who embodies the best traditions of Soviet Union chess. I knew he would come up with some of the best preparation and he did," he said.
Anand further said that the key of playing is how much of your preparation you get into, which determines the game.
In case you are wondering how you could prepare to take on the world chess champion, 'speak' to the Chess King and Houdini!
