Tal Chess Memorial: Four Decisive Games on Day 1

Here is the latest chess news update from the 7th Mikhail Tal Chess Tournament in Moscow where the first round was played today. The only drawn game of the first day was between Carlsen and Kramnik that saw the World Chess No. 1 come under a terrific attack, but he drew with a perpetual check. The results of Round 1 were as follows:
  • Aronian, Levon-Nakamura, Hikaru 1-0
  • Carlsen, Magnus-Kramnik, Vladimir ½-½
  • Grischuk, Alexander-McShane, Luke 1-0
  • Morozevich, Alexander-Caruana, Fabiano 1-0
  • Radjabov, Teimour-Tomashevsky, Evgeny 1-0
