Ognjen Jovanic Wins Pula Chess Open

Hi everyone,

According to the latest chess news, GM Ognjen Jovanic has won the Pula Chess Open 2012. The Croatian Chess Federation and Chess Club “Pula” organised the 26th edition of the event from June 9-16 at Hotel Histria in Pula, Croatia. A total of 294 players from 24 federations competed in the 9-rounds Swiss event.

GM Ognjen Jovanic won the tournament with eight points. Im Peter Lizak of Hungary was second half a point behind. Jovanic won 1400 euros out of a total prize fund of 11000 euros. Las
