Leon Chess Trophy - Vallejo Paco beats Veselin Topalov

Leon is a traditional chess event between two strong chess players. This year we had Paco Vallejo play Veselin Topalov in a rapid six-game match. Vallejo won the match with a score of 3.5-2.5. Vallejo has lost in Leon to Ruslan Ponomariov, Veselin Topalov, Viswanathan Anand, Peter Svidler and Boris Gelfand.

Topalov – Vallejo rules
The match took place from June 8-10 with two games a day. Each player had 45 minutes+15 secons/move for the whole game.

    toplov's been keeping low profile. i wonder what he had to say about the world championship. didn't hear any of his comments. congrats to paco.
