US Chess Championships R2 - Only Anna Zatonskih with Perfect Score

Hi everyone,

After two rounds at the 2012 US Chess Championships (Open and Women's Sections), only one player out of 22 has won both the chess games. Defending champion IM Anna Zatonskih beat  WGM Camilla Baginskaite. A detailed report on the second round by FM Mike Klein is available at the official website.

The standings after Round 2 have Nakamura, Kamsky, Onischuk, Akobian, Kaidanova, and Lenderman all at 1.5! Hess and Shulman are at 1, while Ray and Ramirez have 0.5. Seirawan and Stripunsky have to open their score.



In the women's section, the standings after Round 2 have Anna Zatonshik with a perfect score of 2 points, Zenyuk, Krush, and Tatev with 1.5, Goletiani and Foisor are at 1, Viktorija is at 0.5. Baginskaite and Kats have to open their score.
