Hi everyone,
The top three seeded chess players maintained their rankings in the US Chess Championships 2012 men's section with top seed GM Hikaru Nakamura staying ahead of the other chess players.
In the U.S. Women’s Chess Championship section, it was Irina Krush who has taken sole lead. Nakamura drew with Akobian. Defending champion Gata Kamsky stayed in second spot with a draw with Yury Shulman.
Meanwhile, in the women's section of the US Chess Championships, IM Irina Krush beat WGM Tatev Abrahamyan to take sole lead in the premier chess event.
You can read a great detailed report on all the chess games played in the round by FM Mike Klein at the official website. Tune in to uschesschamps.com for live commentary from WGM Jennifer Shahade and GM Ben Finegold.
