Here is the final chess news update from the Italian Chess Championships that have ended in Arvier, Aosta Valley.
Obiettivo Risarcimeno – Padova with GM Fabiano Caruana, GM Hikaru Nakamura, GM Kiril Georgiev, IM Duilio Collutiis, GM Igor Efimov, GM Michele Godena, and IM Fabio Bellini, won the title with 13,0/14 match points.
Silver medals went to Scavolini Datagest Pesaro – GM Sutovsky, GM Brunello, IM Denis Rombaldoni, GM Vocaturo, GM Marin, IM Axel Rombaldoni – with 12,0/14 points.
Bronze went to Chieti – GM Gawain Jones, GM Carlos Garcia Palermo, IM Carlo D’amore, IM Andrea Stella, IM Mogranzini and IM Borgo – with 9,0/14 MP.
Chieti also won the gold medal in the women section (GM Marie Sebag, IM Martha Fierro, IM Olga Zimna, WFM Mariagrazia De Rosa, and Eugenia Di Primio) with perfect score 10,0/10 MP. Silver medals went to Scacchisti.it, Bologna with 8,0/10 and bronze to Vitinia with 6,0/10.
