GM Leinier Dominguez Perez Wins Cuban National Chess Championship for Fourth TIme

GM Leinier Dominguez Perez as won the 2012 edition of the Cuban Chess Championship. Dominguez won against Lazaro Bruzon in the final match with the score 1,5-0,5, taking the full point with white in a 38 mover Ruy Lopez game. This is the fourth title for Dominguez after his wins in 2002, 2003, and 2006. It also interrupts the series of GM Bruzon who won the event in 2004, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2010.
Third place in the competition was for GM Yuniesky Quesada who finished 1-1 with GM Isam Ortiz, but won the 15 minutes tiebreak rapid game. The next big competition for Dominguez is Biel Chess 2012. You can read further in the Spanish version of Chessdom.
