Hi everyone,

Indian grandmaster Sandipan Chanda, fetching a lucky win over Parimarjan Negi, will now take on the other tournament leader Normunds Miezis at the Dubai Chess Open.

In the last round, which will be played on Monday, Miezis has White against Sandipan. One of them can get the top prize of $10,000. There are twelve grandmasters half a point behind the leaders. In that group, which includes the three rating favourites: Baadur Jobava, Loek Van Wely and Vladimir Akopian, the pairings are as follows: Ganguly - Jobava, Mchedlishvili - Van Wely, Akopian - Hovhannisyan, Andriasian - Gupta, Miroshnichenko - T.L.Petrosian, Ni Hua - Kuzubov.
