Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2012
Hi everyone,
In the last round, which will be played on Monday, Miezis has White against Sandipan. One of them can get the top prize of $10,000. There are twelve grandmasters half a point behind the leaders. In that group, which includes the three rating favourites: Baadur Jobava, Loek Van Wely and Vladimir Akopian, the pairings are as follows: Ganguly - Jobava, Mchedlishvili - Van Wely, Akopian - Hovhannisyan, Andriasian - Gupta, Miroshnichenko - T.L.Petrosian, Ni Hua - Kuzubov. Here is a nice video by Vijay Kumar from Dubai Chess Open 2012.
