Hello everyone!
We have heard from the Clarksville Chess Club that the MTSU will host the 2012 Tennessee All-Girls Scholastic Chess Championship. This event is for Tennessee girls ages 18 and under. The girls taking part will be competing for the title of Tennessee All-Girls State Chess Champion. The event will be held on the 3rd floor of the Keathley University Center, MTSU, 1301 E. main Street Murfreesboro, TN 37132. For a flyer and registration info visit www.tnchess.org . The winner will receive a grand prize of a $1,000 scholarship to the college of her choice. The tournament will last from 7:30 AM until 5:30 PM. The event is open to all girls who reside in the state of Tennessee. This Chess tournament is sponsored by the Tennessee Chess Association, and was organized by the Clarksville Chess Club in cooperation with the MTSU Chemistry Department.
