Hello everyone,
This is the latest news from Fide about the World Chess Championship coming up in May between the current champion Vishy Anand and challenger Boris Gelfand.
On Monday, February 20th, a ceremony of signing a contract between the Russian Chess Federation and a worldwide known Museum Tretyakov Gallery took place.
The Tretyakov Gallery will be a venue for the World Chess Championship match this May. FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov attended the ceremony. There was a briefing after the signing with the participation of Mr. Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, Mr A. Dvorkovich, Chairman of the RCF Supervisory Board, Mrs. Irina Lebedeva, Tretyakov Gallery Director, Mr. A. Filatov, the WCCM sponsor and Mr. I. Levitov, FIDE Vice-President.
