Nikolai Chadaev wins World Blitz Championship Qualifier

Hi everyone,
The 2012 World Blitz Championship qualifying tournament took place at the Russian State Social University (V.Pika st., 4) on Monday, February 6th.
The competition with 99 players consisted of 11 rounds of Swiss system, with time control 3 minutes per game with additional 2 seconds per every move, and FIDE rating calculation. The prize fund was 30 000 RUB.
GM Nikolai Chadaev took a clear first place with 9 points. Half a point behind were GM Papin Vasily RUS 2570, GM Rychagov Andrey RUS 2542, IM Bogdanovich Stanislav UKR 2513, GM Khusnutdinov Rustam KAZ 2492 and IM Shukh Nikolai RUS 2415 with 8.5 points each. Papin and Rychagov are 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Top three finishers are awarded by the RSSU Cup organizing committee with free air tickets and accommodation for the World Blitz Championship semifinal which will be played in Astana, Kazakhstan.
