Hi everyone,


The latest chess news from the Chennai Chess Open after eight rounds is that top seed Aleksandrov Aleksej (Belarus) and untitled Yu Ruiyuan (China) are leading jointly with 7.0 points each. Half a point behind the leaders at 6.5 points were ten players including GMs Oleksienko Mikhailo (Ukraine), Marat Dzhumaev (Uzbekistan), Hoang Thanh Trang (Hungary), J Deepan Chakkravarthy and S P Sethuraman (both India) among others.
