The Tigran Petrosian Chess House is hosting the 2012 Armenian Women’s Chess Championship from January 10. The first round of pairings include 1: Maria Kursova - Narine Gasparyan, Nelly Aginian - Hasmik Ghambaryan, Maria Gevorgyan - Lia Martirosyan, Liana Aghabekyan - Shushanna Sargsyan, Naira Martirosyan - Anna Hayrapetyan, Anait Kharatyan - Yevgenia Dolukhanova.
The tournament will run till January 22 with the top three winners getting a place in the 2013 Armenian Championship; while winners of the 1-5th and 6-8th places will qualify for European Individual Championship and Aeroflot Open respectively. You can find more information here.
