German chess league complete pairings for Rounds 6, 7 on Dec 10, 11

Hello everyone,

For all those wishing to flavour their weekend with a sprinkle of some German chess, here is the Schachbundesliga update. The 6th and 7th round will take place on Dec 10 and 11 and here are the pairings at the venues Bremen, Baden-Baden, Hamburg and Katernberg.

The top match of the weekend will take place in Bremen where the host will meet the team of Eppingen. Both clubs are at the top of the table together with Baden-Baden and belong to the highest rated teams of the Schachbundesliga.

Playing venue: Swissotel, Hillmansplatz 20, 28195 Bremen

6th round: Saturday, 10th of December 2011, 2pm
SV Werder Bremen - SC Eppingen
SK Turm Emsdetten - SV Hockenheim

7th round: Sunday, 11th of December 2011, 10 am
SC Eppingen - SK Turm Emsdetten
SV Hockenheim - SV Werder Bremen

Baden-Baden is facing at home the teams of Wattenscheid and Dortmund. Though the German champion showed some unexpected difficulties so far in this season they are still the top favourite for the title and odds-on favourite against the clubs from West Germany.

Playing venue: Kulturhaus LA8, Lichtentaler Allee 8, 76530 Baden-Baden

OSG Baden-Baden - SV Wattenscheid
SG Trier - SC Hansa Dortmund

7th round: Sunday, 11th of December 2011, 10 am
SV Wattenscheid - SG Trier
SC Hansa Dortmund - OSG Baden-Baden

In Hamburg probably the most interesting match will take place between the host and the team of Remagen. Both teams are struggling so far and fight against relegation.

SF Berlin - SC Remagen

In Katernberg the host and Mülheim Nord expect their rivals Dresden and Berlin-Tegel. These are matchups between two established teams against two promoted teams from the second league.

Playing venue: Leibnitz-Gymnasium, Stankeitstr. 22, 45326 Essen

SV Mülheim Nord - SK König Tegel
