The sixth game saw Challenger Koneru Humpy go down fighting and giving Women's World Chess Champion Hou Yifan a two-point lead. The score now stands 4-2 in favour of the Chinese player.

The FIDE Women’s World Chess Championship Match is being staged in Tirana, Albania from November 14 to 30. The time control is 90 minutes for the first 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with an increment of 30 seconds per move starting from move one. The winner of the ten-game match is the first player to reach 5.5 points or more. The prize fund is 200,000 Euro, with 60% going to the winner.
Humpy had a fine position till she made bad moves in time trouble leaving Yifan to capitalise. The Chinese would have White on Wednesday after Tuesday's rest day. Incidentally, Hou Yifan was unwell and spent Sunday night in hospital. If you want to look for a mate in four then enjoy the following game.

Humpy cannot be written off really. Though am sad about it. India thing I guess though Yifan has done absolutely admirably despite being ill. Hats off.
