Hello everyone,
Hello everyone,
Hou Yifan is steering her ship with calm control at the ongoing Women's World Chess Championship in Tirana, Albania. She is defending her title against challenger Koneru Humpy. The fifth game also ended in a draw on Sunday allowing Yifan to maintain her one point lead.

The 10-game series stands 3-2 in favour of Yifan, who had won the third game. The sixth game with Humpy having white will be played on Monday.
Humpy defended well after a well-analysed Ruy Lopez opening got simplified into an ending quickly. The queens got exchanged after 14 moves and both the players tried to test each other in a rooks and same-coloured bishop ending.

Here is the fifth game. Enjoy.
Uphill task for Koneru with each passing game. But I have a feeling it's going to be Hou Yifan. We possibly need Chess Queen to get back and get her crown back from Hou. I doubt if anyone else can now. I write that at a risk of being considered a fawning fan. Still chess queen is the best.
