The thrills of the Tal Chess Memorial continued in the third round and that's not going by the draw results. Results aside, there were fireworks and thrills at the super event.

The thrills of the Tal Chess Memorial continued in the third round and that's not going by the draw results. Results aside, there were fireworks and thrills at the super event.
Here are the Round 3 results:
- Vladimir Kramnik ½ ½ Magnus Carlsen
- Vassily Ivanchuk 0-1 Levon Aronian
- Vishy Anand ½ ½ Ian Nepomniachtchi
- Hikaru Nakamura 0-1 Peter Svidler
- Boris Gelfand 0-1 Sergey Karjakin
Standings after Round 3 have Aronian, Nepomniachtchi, Carlsen and Karjakin lead with 2 points each, Anand, Ivanchuk and Svidler have 1.5 points each, Kramnik and Nakamura have 1 point each while Gelfand has 0.5.
