Grand Slam Chess Masters Bilbao R8: Carlsen, Nakamura win; Ivanchuk leads

Hello everyone,


The chess news from Bilbao, Spain is that both Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura won their Round 8 games against Francisco Vallejo and Levon Aronian. Vassily Ivanchuk and Viswanathan Anand drew their game. Sunday is a rest day so Monday would have the tournament poised at an exciting juncture. Ivanchuk continues to lead but now Carlsen and Nakamura are within striking distance!

    I think Carlsen is going to win this. He has a habit of highs and lows with sudden turbo bursts of power.
