GM Eduardo Iturrizaga escapes car crash
Chess blog for latest chess news and chess trivia (c) Alexandra Kosteniuk, 2011
Hi everyone,
We send healings to GM Eduardo Iturrizaga of Venezuela. He was in a car crash a few hours back. The car was destroyed but the grandmaster is safe, according to breaking news by www.chessdom.com. We hope he can return to his chess and get over the trauma soon. Unfortunately, the incident means he would have to miss the Casino Magistral de Barcelona chess tournament in Spain. He was on his way to the airport when the crash happened.

Robbery, car crash... you get the drift. Is there a jinx someplace?
